FAILING
TO PLAN
IS
PLANNING
TO FAIL
Establishing a budget is the act of deciding how much of
your money you’re going to spend on one item, how much on another, and so on,
before you’re actually in the position of spending money.
Sticking to a budget is the act of following through on
those decisions. Creating a budget isn’t easy, but sticking to any budget is
extremely difficult.
A budget isn’t a straightjacket that keeps you from really
living. On the contrary, a budget that you stick to can be your ticket to
living the life you imagine.
Living within a
strict budget isn’t easy, but neither is being heavily in debt, worrying
about how to pay for your expenses, and living with the guilt that goes with
spending money you don’t have.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU DIDN’T HAVE BAD DEBT?????
1) Save
2) Make
home repairs
3) Personal
Reward (install a pool, shopping trips, etc)
4) Travel
5) Invest
at a larger scale (stocks, bonds, real estate)
6) Donate
7) LESS
STRESS!!!
The first time you budget, it’s
going to hurt.
The next month, you’ll still be
confused.
By the third month, your needs—and
the ability to meet those needs— will finally start to make sense.
By month four, you’ll feel like an
old pro. What once took hours will eventually take just twenty minutes and
might—just might—be a little fun.
